ALDEA is Hiring a Social Worker Supervisor Near Fairfield, CA

Under the direction of the Program Director, this position provides supervision to program staff and interns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Availability for consultation between meetings, during and outside of business hours, as needed.
  • Evaluation of staff performance according to agency policy, both informally and in writing.
  • Performance improvement feedback to staff, in consultation with Program Director and Human Resources Director.
  • General knowledge, awareness, and support of the agency PQI goals in your program for your position as well as for your supervisees.
  • Monitoring staff compliance with job duties.
  • Maintain records, services plan and other required documentation according to state regulations, accreditation standards, and procedures. Reviewing reports, SIR’s, letters, etc., consulting with Program Director as appropriate.
  • Attending treatment team meetings with supervisees as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain county and community relationships, including attendance at community meetings, CPS staffing’s, etc. and participation in appropriate committees, representing both program and agency as directed by the Program Director.
  • Monitor compliance of state regulations and accreditation standards in homes assigned to supervisees. Notify Community Care Licensing, in consultation with Program Director, around any problem issues and ensure compliance with corrective measures.
  • Assist in the placement of foster children.
  • Supervise resource families and resource homes to monitor compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards.
  • At times, provide clinical case management- contact, at a minimum one time bi-weekly in the home, with foster children and resource families. Weekly visits should be completed during times of crisis or elevated need.
  • Document and communicate case needs to the assigned County Social Worker and participate/facilitate treatment meetings, as needed.
  • Participate in the recruitment, evaluation, orientation, certification, recertification and training of resource homes.
  • Provide Crisis Intervention services to foster children, biological families, and resource families, as needed.
  • Participate in discharge planning decisions.
  • Coordinate services to support placement, including liaison with county, therapeutic services, educational needs, family contacts, and other such activities.
  • Supervise visits between foster children and birth family members, and provide written notes of the visitations.
  • Remain available by cellular phone during business hours to assist with emergency and/or urgent situations.
  • Participate in the Weekly On-Call Rotation schedule.

Agency Duties:

  • Assist in planning of and participate in resource family and other agency activities
  • Assist with selection and training of staff.
  • Oversee administrative functions, such as staff/intern development, trainings, recruitment, accreditation, etc. as assigned by Program Director.
  • Facilitate team approach and assist other staff in program/agency as needed.
  • Provide assistance and perform tasks related to program activities, including and not limited to compliance, resource parent training, special events, newsletters, and resource family development.
  • Participates actively in all required staff meetings, and in-staff trainings.
  • Assist yearly in Resource Parent University planning.
  • Supervise paraprofessional staff and interns, if requested.
  • Participate in recruitment of new potential resource families for the agency.
  • Maintains all current licensing and/or professional certification requirements.
  • Abides by all provisions of the Aldea Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Willing to perform other related duties needed as assigned.
